FrIdAy CoNfEsSiOnAl

Well, this week, post vacation, has been pretty good. I did get sick the day we came home from our trip...just a wee cold, but then I had to go and give myself my MS shot and my wee cold turned into a sore throat, body aches, and plugged ears. LAME! Alas, I survived and I am here to confess!!!

I do confess that:
  • I totally TIVOed the Royal Wedding.
  • I fast forwarded half of it. Commentary = BORING
  • Due to the wedding I had my obsession for big hats reignited.
  • Yay for big hats!
  • Boo for ugly flesh colored hats that look like mouse ears with a bow....Beatrice, I'm talking about you my dear.
  • I DIDN'T totally LOVE the wedding dress....it needed some pouf.
  • I DEMAND POUF!!!!
  • Since our trip to Disneyland I have been obsessing about being a Disney princess. You know, as a profession.
  • I even suggested that my SIL and I host a princess tea party for her daughter so I can get a custom Snow White gown and wear it.
  • I have become obsessed with this party idea!
  • I am on my computer researching stuff and shopping for stuff all the time.
  • I then selfishly suggested to my dear friend Amelia that we host a British afternoon tea party for her bridal shower and require everyone to wear really big hats and talk with British accents.
  • I did this so I could get away with wearing a big feathered hat and talk with a British accent.
  • Mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
  • I CANT WAIT!!!!
  • Hello! Two amazing dress-up tea parties in one year! It just doesn't get better than that.

Now, I really must get back to planning my parties...I mean...get back to work.... ;-)

THAT'S RIGHT, WE'RE DISNEY FREAKS. YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?

This past week Jeff and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary. I was surprised that it had already been a year but at the same time, it felt like we had already been together forever. I guess having a busy year like we did will do that. We decided that we were glad to have been married when we dealt with all of last years trials. We both agree that they were far easier to deal with together than they would have been alone. Just a friendly reminder that God does know what he is doing.
So, for our anniversary we decided to celebrate it in the happiest place on earth....DISNEYLAND!

I am so glad we did. Disneyland is just fantastic and this trip reminded me of how much I love that place. It is so magical and truly makes you feel like a kid again. That being said...
YES,  we happen to be some of those adults that are Disney freaks. I think I am a bit more of a freak than Jeff....I totally made him wait in all the lines to get pictures with the Disney characters. Mwahahahahahahahahahaha! He may say otherwise, but he totally loved every minute of it. Especially the part where the Queen of Hearts tried to run away with him...

I have to confess something....maybe I should wait until Friday Confessional... Naw, I'll tell you right now. I secretly want to be a Disney princess. No, really, I want to be a Disney princess. I even once applied to work for Disney World through a student exchange thing. Alas, last minute I decided not to go to the interview and focus on getting into nursing school instead. LAME! A friend of mine ended up going and had a great time. She once told me that I could have never been a Disney princess because I was too tall. They only wanted girls 5'6" or shorter. I was like, WHATEVER! I was so devastated. Well, there we were in Disneyland....in Fantasyland....when I was presented an opportunity to get pictures with some of the princesses. One happened to be my favorite princess... Can you guess which one? Snow white of course. Imagine my excitement when I discovered that all the princess were my height or taller. I WAS SO HAPPY! I think it just gave a little spark of hope in me that I too could possibly be a Disney princess...assuming I could become a size 6....but that is much more do-able than cutting off my ankles.

All in all, we had a fantastic trip and wonderful anniversary in the happiest place on earth. I can't wait until we go back! I wish it could be next week. ;-)

PS In case all of you were wondering, As much as Jeff tried, he could not pull that blasted sword from the stone.

SOME MORE musings from the sleep deprived....

As the days inch closer and closer to my 1 year anniversary, I find my mind wandering more and more to all those past dating experiences you hope you will never experience again.
When one of these...sometimes horrible, dating memories come to mind I say a little prayer of gratitude that that part of my life is over, HOPEFULLY, forever. I am so grateful that I found the perfect man for me that allows me to tease him endlessly and always throw sarcastic retorts at him. He is SUCH a trouper and can definitely give back what he gets.

ANY WAY, with all of my dating days of the past re-playing through my ever moving mind, I have decided to share some highlights of my past dating life that make me giggle.

~My first ever kiss when, boyfriend at the time, followed me around my kitchen staring at my lips as I tried to ignore him....He was a persistent boy that, in the end, became my first ever, unimpressive, peck on the lips. I only kissed him one other time and decided that the work required to help this boy improve was far to great and I just didn't have the time for it and sent him on his way.

~My third ever kiss when, weird boy from Judge Memorial HS, decided he deserved a kiss after a date. He, unfortunately, had some kind of turrets of the tongue and licked my entire lower face.... Um, yeah it WAS as bad as it sounds. I politely wiped my face off on his shirt and slipped into my car....then avoided his phone calls like the plague.

~The most awkward, are you sure you should be out with me, date. Naturally I met this man online. MISTAKE. We went to dinner and he told me all about his days as a BYU ballroom dancer. His GLORY DAYS I might add. Then during a conversation about a ferret he said, "Eww, icky!" with complete sincerity. Bless his heart.

There have been dates that ended with a hand shake, dates where the guy flirted with other girls, dates where the guy LITERALLY ran away from me in the parking lot after informing me mid-lunch that he had to go, and dates that I thought would never end. Ahhh, the memories. Precious nuggets of gold.

I can't say that I had all bad dates or that all the guys were idiots...just most of them. I think out of all the guys I dated there were maybe 3 genuinely good guys I went out with that made it passed the 2 date rule. Two of these great guys just weren't for me and the third....well I married him.

Moral of the story? Even though there are FAR TOO MANY immature, undisciplined, and irresponsible males out there, there are a few worth while ones that, in the end, may steal your heart and make it all better.

    Happy Birthday To You!

Jeff had a birthday shout hooray!
On Wednesday April 13, 2011 Jeff turned a whopping 33! Holy Moly! What an old fart! Jk.  We took the entire day to celebrate. I made him breakfast (french toast, bacon, and fresh berries with whipped cream), then I presented him with his dream gift.....the Tron/Tron Legacy 5 disc combo pack, then later that day we went to our favorite sushi joint, Nagoya, and had Jeff's favorite dinner....sushi! Yummy! After dinner we hit up a movie, Source Code, and then home for birthday pie.
Pie? you say...Well, Jeff doesn't like cake, he likes pie and his favorite pie is cherry. So, I made him a cherry birthday pie. It was wonderful...and the left-overs are just as good!
All in all, I think it was a successful day of celebration.

    FrIdAy CoNfEsSiOnAl on SaTuRdAy

Hello everyone! As you can see, it is not really Friday, BUT that will not stop me from confessing!!!

    I CONFESS:

    • I am seriously typing this on my iPhone.
    • I was way too lazy to get out my laptop and power it up.
    • I am blogging my confessional Saturday morning instead of Friday because I was way too busy reading my vampire smut to be bothered with it.
    • I just finished a round of the HCG diet.
    • It was pure torture.
    • I cried for my carbs every day the first week.
    • Literally cried.
    • That being said, I lost 14 lbs of fat.
    • So, torture works.
    • Now I just have a million more pounds to lose.
    • I think I'll stick to calorie counting and the gym.
    • I like my bread too much.
    • I am super excited for Disneyland!
    • We are going in 4 days!!!
    • I find it funny how many people have given us shopping lists and money for souvenirs since finding out we were going to Disneyland.
    • It just goes to show how everyone wants a little piece of the happiest place on earth.=)

    Its an ongoing thing....

So I know that pretty much everyone has a bucket list. I have never actually sat down and made one. I think the closest thing I ever came to one was a world map with a bunch of pins in it for where I wanted to go.
Well, since I was bored at work and have totaly slacked off on blogging, I have decided to start compiling one. Now, keep in mind it will probably keep growing.

    My Bucket list of sorts...

    View and photograph Aurora Borealis

Take a dog sledding tour in Northern Norway.

Eat a chokolade trekant in Copenhagen, Denmark.

See the pyramids of Giza and ride a camel.

    Take an African Safari

    Visit the Amazon rainforest.

Go to the tulip festival in Holland.

Visit Paris and spend time in the Louvre.

Spend 3 weeks (at least)  traveling through Florence, Rome, and Venice.

Stay in a castle (preferably a haunted one)
Go to Disneyworld and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
    Learn to dance the Flamenco

    Learn caligraphy

    Take voice lessons

    Learn to paint

    Take surfing lessons in Hawaii

    Have my own secret garden.

    Go to a masquerade ball

Have my very own Snow White authentic-real-deal-just-like-the-park dress.

I think that is enough for the moment. To be continued...
